Was born in 1963. Philippe received a degree in wood carving and the production of French fine furniture in his hometown of Annecy, France.

The well-known cellophane was obtained by accident in 1911, when a Swiss chemist wanted to invent a universal coating for tablecloths, which would not stick to stains, as a result of numerous experiments, a thin waterproof film or cellophane was obtained.
