Claudio Souza Pinto is a surrealist artist from Sao Paulo
Claudio Souza Pinto (Claudio Souza Pinto ) was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 1954.
At the age of four, Claudio began working in clay under the careful supervision of his uncle, a well-known artist in Brazil, Bernardo CID de Souza Pinto.
In order to study at McKenzie University in Sao Paulo, Claudio sold his paintings. After graduation, he received a bachelor’s degree in industrial design.
His first place of work was a textile design Studio. In 1990, a French collector, Alan Auserate, saw the works of Souza Pinto and just fell in love with them. He invited the artist to exhibitions at the Les Bains and Opera galleries in Paris.
The exhibited works were a resounding success, after that Claudio many times and no less successfully, showed his work at various international exhibitions. He lived in France for a while, but recently returned to Brazil and now works there.
He paints pictures that transform everyday situations into surreal, romantic, and funny images. His work has fascinated Brazilians and Europeans for many years, and now stands on the threshold of the North American continent.
For an artist, life is a great game. Each of us has different masks, and they appear depending on the case that requires a particular behavior … Welcome to the theater of life!
